Adjusting image gamma
Feb 28, 2004, 05:14 PM
Can PHP be used to detect OS, such as Mac or PC, and adjust the gamma of the images so that they display with the same density on a Mac as it does on a PC?

You may want to try
$_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']
to find out what OS someone is using.
From there, you'd have to work out your own gamma levels and adjust accordingly with GD.
