should be within the zip file of phpbb you downloaded. phpbb comes with instructions for how to install it on your server.

        cheers

            could you be more specific?

When i was new to PHP, forum programs were the first things i installed after reading the instructions in the manual...

maybe if you could give us some specific questions regrading a problem you are having or something you dont understand then we would be better able to help...

            Thanks

ok basically you need a good FTP client like SmartFTP (google) and with a program like that you can tell it whether to upload a file in binary mode or ASCII mode. SmartFTP has an auto setting too which detects what is the best mode for each file and uploads it using those settings

                Hope that helps

                  OK, have you:

                  - set up a database on your server?
                  - got the name of that database?
                  - got your username and password for which you are connecting to the database with?
                  - uploaded every single file including the install folder?

Check which you have done, and what is happening when you go to your website, then report back with the details. Obv don't give out your password. On my web hosting package, my username and database name all start with the prefix newmand2_

Unless you have your webserver set to parse .html files as php, then your files would need the .php* extension
