Installing PHP with Apache on Windows XP home.

I have an Apache server currently set up and I am trying to install PHP so I can design my own scripts and try running them on my computer.

I think I have set everything up correctly but everytime I try running a script from http://localhost/test/script.php it tries to download it. Why?

You most likely didn't install PHP correctly or add the correct settings to httpd.conf to reflect that you installed PHP. Here's a nice tutorial written by someone from a different forum....
