    PHP Code:
    $basket ereg_replace("/$item:(.*?):(.*?)/",$item.":".$1.":".$new$_SESSION['basket']); 
    Ok how do i do this i always though it was $1, but apparently not this creates an error

    I was reading the php.net site and it says \\1 but that dose not work for me

    Could some one please help me fix this problem

    EDIT FIXED IT

    $basket ereg_replace("$item:(.*):(.*)",$item.":\\1:".$new$_SESSION['basket']);
            
    $_SESSION['basket'] = $basket
