jumping right in

Say im jumping right into all this online coding and stuff, (help im drowning) yeah well im looking for a place that can define what all this stuff is (mysql,php,asp,xml, whatever) and tell me its advantages and disadvatages of using each and how to get started using them.

You won't want to start with that stuff.

You need to learn HTML first. There are loads of good tutorials on the web.

Well all this 'crap' is actually probaly what will make people call you a 'genious' with. With a serverside language like asp or php you can create somethin like this forum, a guestbook, a hit coutner, a cms, a web hosting company plus billions of other stuff.

Ok, as you've given us nothing to help you with.... what serverside language does your host support? If it supports php, then we'll go with php... if it supports asp, then we'll go with that, etc

This will get you very far when it comes to websites.
