Stored Procedures Possible?

NO.
None of the production-versions. The v5 developmenttree does
fw_error_www
http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/TODO_MySQL_5.0.html
but i think it will take conciderable time before v5 will be included for production-hosting.
If you need it now or within a year, then PosGreSQL is the better package ...
