Components of a home-server

What is the necessary equipment for setting up a server out of your home?

Hypothetically, it would be set up to simply run one website which will use PHP, and a MySQL database.

I'm not familiar with the equipment in the process.

If needed, assume it would be using a cable internet line.

You can basically use the same parts that you have in your computer right now. For server software, I recommend Apache ... I would stay away from IIS...And what OS do you plan on running?
