Mouse Trailer leaves Mouse "Poop" behind

I'm using the Image Mouse Trail Script from Dynamic Drive by Brian Caputo. On most browsers it works great, however, on a Mac in IE 5.2 it leaves a dark trail behind where the mouse has been. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this that may know of a fix. http://www.unlimited-ideas.com/gallery.htm
