DHTML Menu version 3.3.19 Problems w/placement

Hello,
I love this Top Navigational 4 menu (DHTML Menu version 3.3.19) but am having some problems with it. I am pretty new to this....

1. I have seven categories in a horizontal menu, and the categories that have submenus have a shadow underneath, but the categories that are just links to another page do not have shadows. How can I get them to be consistent?

2. The menus do not appear in the same place in IE and Netscape (different versions of each have been tried). I have the menu placed in the middle of the page underneath a logo. Is there a way to get the menu to work if I put the code inside a table cell so it will appear in the same spot in any browser?
