  • problem on using the top menu III in dynamicdrive

    please help

the site i used this menu is for window explorer 4 only. i know it is old, but it is my school comp, i dont have choice. so here is the problem

Below the menu, i put one iframe to load other pages, however the drop down sub menu then appears to be behind the iframe page, as a result, only part of the submenu which is not covered by the iframe page can be seen, can anyone help, please, please

There's an easy fix for that but unfortunately for IE5.5+ only. Since your target browser is the antique IE4, you have no choice but to hide the iframe when the menu is displayed and show it again once the menu is hidden.

        I've already told you.

...hide the iframe when the menu is displayed and show it again once the menu is hidden.

i still no very clear about the exact way do it, for the top menu, i still want the contents inside iframe to show, i just want the drop down submenu will no be covered by the contents inside iframe when i mouseover the main menu.

IE4 CAN'T show anything over an iframe.

                    A Few options

1: hide it as was suggested.
2: don't use an iframe at all.
3: tell ur school that IE 4.0 belongs in a museum
