  • Hvmenu sub-menus appear behind other elements

I've created an HVMenu with 5 top level items and up to 4 sub-menus. The menu looks great, but the sub-menus appear behind some other elements which are below it on the page.
It appears that the z-index of the menu / subs is less than that of the other elements.
This does not happen with text or edit boxes, but does happen with <select> and their <input> elements.
I've tried changing the z-index of the other elements - to no affect.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly apprecciated, as at the moment we can't use the menu at all.
    Cheers

some more info on this issue

        hi,

i have come across this issue with trying the hvmenu script too (great menu script, btw) in my current project - thought i'd posted what i found for reference for those who might come across this issue:

http://www.burmees.nl/menu/ - in the FAQ, there is a workaround that might help (but not for me).

and this seems to be IE specific too as Mozilla browsers seem to work fine from my prelim testing.

        yuj
