SAVING files to disk using JS & ActiveX objects

I know this usage of JS may not be of much web usage, but, anyway, I'm interesed in developing small aplications in JS localy --you don't have to compile them, you have a very handy interface as the GUI of IE -- some of the reasons.

I know is possible to write files on disk with JS and a ActiveX object, I just don't know exactly how.

If anybody knows, please tell me.
A link to an non ECMA JS would also be great.
