    Anyone know a working sample of these:

    self.menubar.visible=false;
    self.toolbar.visible=false;
    self.locationbar.visible=false;
    self.personalbar.visible=false;
    self.scrollbars.visible=false;
    self.statusbar.visible=false;

    I have read about it, and I try to change the existing window with these properties but couldn't

    that will only work in Netscape Navigator 4 ( it may work in the newer versions, but i'm not sure of that ), and only if you're using a signed script. in general, it's best to assume that you can't alter the current browser window. even if you could, it would be frowned upon, as it's a sort of intrusion into the user's environment.
