  • Looking for JS-driven jigsaw puzzle game

Hello all. I'm looking for a javascript-driven jigsaw puzzle similar if not the same as the one seen on this page, only compatible with IE/NS/Moz (and OK, what the heck, I'll even throw in Opera, but I'm not really concerned about Opera!). The puzzle on that page won't even show up in Moz 1.5 -- in fact, these are the only browsers it claims to work in:

Puzzle will work only in Netscape Navigator 4 or Internet Explorer 4, WIN95

Although it works in IE 6 and *almost* works flawlessly in Opera 7 (the drag and drop feature is off). Still, that be an old web page!

Anybody ever come across such a jigsaw puzzle in their travels or have one available for download?

BTW, Brothercake, if you read this message, your site came up in a Google search for "dhtml jigsaw puzzles" and I visited your site for the first time. You've got some nifty scripts available and so cross-browser compatible! Awesome navigation menus! I checked out your games section and your physical jigsaw puzzle came close but not quite! If it had a "solve", "hint" and "select number of pieces" feature like the one on the link above, I would have been sold! But the option to upload your own image and use that as a puzzle ... awesome feature! You've got some good games on your site. Very nice!

PS: Hehehehe, just played your "fish race" game! Now that is too darn cute. Your comments as the fish race make the game.

PPS: OK, Brothercake, now I'm playing "froggy". This is too damn addictive. I went to your site looking for a jigsaw puzzle !!!!

This is the closest thing to a jigsaw puzzle that I have. You could try and mash the two scripts together and create a cross-browser script but if not, then sorry you'll have to keep searching.
    Attached Files
    AMD Athlon "Barton" XP 3200+ (11*200.5MHz = 2.2GHz)
BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra OC 256Mb
    3 * Kingston 256Mb PC3200 DDR400
Seagate Barracuda 120Gb Ultra ATA-100 and Seagate Barracuda 160Gb, SATA-150

Why don't you just copy the script from that page?
Oh, was I supposed to put something here? ........

Hi Lava and thanks for your input. I'll take a look-see at what you've posted in a wee bit. Just gotta finish this one thing I started this afternoon. It's one of those "if I don't finish it tonight, I never will kind of projects", ya know?

And Bobo, are you referring to why don't I just download the script from the page whose link I posted? If so, then would if I could but ...

... and it doesn't show up in NS 7 either.
