  • How Do I include a link in a popup?

    I am trying to include a clickable link in a disabled right click pop up message.

    Something like "All content copyrighted. Click Here for free stuff."

    I found this script but have been unable to alter it to make it function.

    <script language="Javascript1.2">
    am = "This site copyrighted click<a href="www.site.htm">here</a> for free stuff.";
    bV = parseInt(navigator.appVersion)
    bNS = navigator.appName=="Netscape"
    bIE = navigator.appName=="Microsoft Internet Explorer"
    function nrc(e) {
    if (bNS && e.which > 1){
    return false
    } else if (bIE && (event.button >1)) {
    return false;
    document.onmousedown = nrc;
    if (document.layers) window.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);
    if (bNS && bV<5) window.onmousedown = nrc;

    Any suggestions? thank you for your time.

      No I understand how to do a basic no right click disable, and that it is not secure. I cannot think of anything that truely is for long. We have the images in picture window format, just showing a small portion of the image for detail.

      I wanted to know how to include a link in the popup, so I could redirect people to a page where they could get full graphics for free. But I wanted it clickable like a regular link on a webpage, because blind links suck.

      I read through the entire post and did not see this addressed, but it is late and I could have missed it.

      Thank you for your attention.

        These guys have come up with an encryption scheme for your javascript functions.

        If your graphics and stuff aren't fully javascript based then this may not be for you. It's also not free...

        There may be some free hack of it someplace, but I haven't found it yet.

          I am not concerned with security, if they are really that intrested in my simplistic code, more power to them

          What I am simply trying to do is add a link into the popup. I thought it would be a nice way to redirect someone.

            Hey check out this link:

            I gathered that alert boxes cannot have hypertext links in them. However, this DHTML version allows you too.

            I haven't run the code or anything, and I'm not sure that the weird box on the page is an example. But it may be what you're looking for.

            Let me know how it goes,
