  • .js files as text files?

i was wondering about any of the round-abouts to dynamically manipulating files on a server. ie avoiding server-side language. had a thougt about a .js file but dont know how to change content, ie read from and write to. any help would be appreciated.
    Thanx

javascript can't read, or write to, files. you must have a server side language.

A good easy one is sambar (http://wwww.sambar.com) but any one that can use .CGI files will be OK.
