  • xhtml and SSI in layer

i've just started to convert my site from html to xhtml. in the process, i notice that the SSI i've used to include an external html document that i had inside of a layer <div> tag, is no longer positioned where it's supposed to! it now appears in the top left corner of my screen, in both IE and NS/Mozilla.

is it not possible to call up external html thru SSI inside of a layer with xhtml? or is there some other way to get this to work?

    here's the page: http://www.behooved.net/index2.shtml
the "stats" <div> is where the external html is supposed to appear, it's obvious it's in the wrong place...

thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!
