  • Best source to learn CSS3 anyone?

Does anyone know of a very good source where one can learn CSS3 - online and in print (as a PDF)? It needs to be well written with lots of images/diagrams to display what is being explained. It also needs to be logical and broken down into individual sections dealing with fonts and embedded fonts, paragraphs, images, etc, with a separate section dealing with effects that can be created using CSS3 (like image carousels, font art, image header replacement of responsive designs, etc) which would be under Advanced uses of CSS3.

    Hi there judgedredd,

You are, of course, just dreaming.

I would suggest that you start with the full list of CSS properties here...

    MDN - CSS Reference List

...and work your way through them and their examples.

The best way to become competent in any discipline is to practice,
practice and then practice some more.

Also, I’m a fan of learning by doing: use the search engine of your choice to search for answers to your questions and if you face a question often enough, eventually you’ll learn the answer so that you won’t have to look it up anymore.

I second coothead's MDN recommendation. They have a tutorial section too.

Cascading Style Sheets — or CSS — is the first technology you should start learning after HTML. While HTML is used to define the structure and semantics of your content, CSS is used to style it and lay it out. For example, you can use CSS to alter the font, color, size, and spacing of your content, split it into multiple columns, or add animations and other decorative features.

Thank you to both of you. I have had a look at the two links and they seem to be an excellent resource.
