It's right, those don't exist in 'CSS level 2.1'

What it didn't say was they DO exist in 'CSS level 3'

When you use the validator... click on the "More Options" and select 'Profile: CSS Level 3'

Then you'll see it's all valid.

Just for the records: CSS 3 is not an official standard yet. It’s still in development, kind of a “beta” version, so to speak.
