Nice pop ups

Hi,

I have a classifieds website for St Maarten where people sell their car, house, etc... I am still working on making the site as easier to use as possible.

I have a problem with the notification.
So far, they appear in the top of the window and disappear after 3 seconds. I would like to replace them with nice pop-up windows.

Does anyone know how I can do it ? And will it be compatible with IE ?

I think you meant pop-up div's and that subject would be better addressed in the javascript area.
