  • background color 'opacity'

A good friend of mine made a simple webpage which listed all her favorite websites. This worked fine until her eyesight started to deteriorate because of cataracts. I've been trying and failing to alter the opacity (with CSS) of the web page background color. Could someone help please.

Hi, could you post here a link to the webpage and what have you tried so far?

Why alter the opacity and not just change the color itself? Why drag opacity into it?!? Just change the colors.
