  • Resolved IE6 PNG transparency problems on background images

    Hi all,

Iv added the IE PNG fix to my page and followed the necessary advice on http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/demo/

This works fine for the images I have referenced in the xhtml of my code but doesnt seem to work for the images referenced in the css?

    Here is my page

Can anyone provide me with any advice in order to fix this problem?

    Many thanks in advance!!

    Kyle

    From that site:
Background repeat and position are largely unsupported, this is due to a limitation in the IE transparency filter. If your background is set to repeat, the PNG will stretch to fill the element, and if it's 'no-repeat', the PNG will display once (untiled) pixel-for-pixel.
You're positioning the footer background with "left" and "bottom".

      Hi Kyle,

Try the 2.0 version of that script:

      IEPNGFix v2.0 Alpha -- with background position/repeat!

        Hello Kyle,

May I ask you what is wrong with your site? It looks fine to me

        Try fixing your errors:
        http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0
        Always Use a DOCTYPE!
Always Use * {margin: 0; border: none; padding: 0;} in the top of your CSS stylesheet.
Always Use only CSS for layout; never (X)HTML.
        Always Have fun while coding!
