selecting html text with white/transparent selection

hello
by default when you select text in a html page the selection is dark blue, how can i make so it is white or transparent?

You can't; it's part of the OS.

i need this for a certain div not the entire document, it is implemented here(the background does not change but the letter itself):

im sure this is a css tweak, but dont know it.

The user agent will select a white color as the selection background to make it more visible if the background of the page is too dark/blue/whatever, at least in IE. Chrome doesn't do it, so I assume it's browser-specific.
