css validation have sense only after your html is valid. You have 290 errors:

    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...spokane.com%2F

    fix them first, please.

    best regards

Never, ever use IE as a reference for how things work.
      Is IE9 a modern browser?
IE9 is at least 2 years behind the modern web.

Howard's right. Best to use Mozilla Firefox as a reference, then adjust for IE.

CSS validation won't suggest fixes for IE bugs. You have to learn the fixes and will do so, as each problem arises.

Fix the actual coding errors, as suggested by the validator, then you can start thinking about adding in fixes for IE. You might find things start to improve, once you've tidied up in there but you need to start with some clean, valid code, to add these fixes to.

Definition: Computer rage is a heightened physiological response with associated feelings of anger and frustration[1] resulting from using a computer or other complex electronic device. It may result in the physical assault of the computer or similar item.[2] Computer use often leads to verbal abuse and occasionally physical violence towards the object.[3] Computer rage may be caused by distress due to a hardware or software problem which the enraged person is unable to correct.

you don't need to waste all that work. Just start to fix the errors starting from top( of the validator page) and revalidate each time. One error trigger another so there are not so many as you see on w3c page.

            best regards
