DHTML & Java Applet Problem

I'm doing a site for someone and they insist on a DHTML dropdown menu and Java shopping (I know - i've told them). The problem is that the menu is dropping down and going BEHIND the Java Applet so that you can't see all the products on the dropdown.

Does anyone know how to make the DHTML drop OVER the applet.

The page i'm working on is
http://www.clients.sjidesign.com/ushop/demo/cart.html It's the product dropdown that is the problem, you should
be able to see 10 products but you can only see about 6 before the meny goes behind the applet. Only setup for 800x600 ATM.

yeah, i'm afraid you can't. the java applet is what's called a "windowed" element in explorer, and i'm sure netscape has a pretty name for it too. the long and short of it is that you can't make things go on top of it.

what you might try, is wrapping it in a div, and setting the div's style.display property to 'none' when you're doing the drop down menu
