  • displaying information within div

    I want to display information within a div.. this information is accessed by clicking a href corresponding with an anchor tag. I've come up with the code below...

    However there are 2 problems..

    - when the link is clicked it opens a second browser window which aint the idea, the corresponding text should appear in the div named iText

    - I would like to get rid of those iText scrollbars

    for problem example see: http://www.msnemo.com/helpxx.htm

    Code:
    <div>
    <img src="http://www.msnemo.com/design/update.jpg" alt="" width="15">&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="#contact">How to contact us</a><br>
    <img src="http://www.msnemo.com/design/update.jpg" style="margin-top:8px;" alt="" width="15">&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="#free" TARGET="iText">Is everything on Msnemo free ?</a><br>
    <img src="http://www.msnemo.com/design/update.jpg" style="margin-top:8px;" alt="" width="15">&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="#downava" TARGET="iText">How to download Avatars (display pictures) ?</a><br>
    <img src="http://www.msnemo.com/design/update.jpg" style="margin-top:8px;" alt="" width="15">&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="#downemo" TARGET="iText">How to download emoticons ?</a><br>

    Usefull site i will be browsing this in lesuire time. I love having many smilies for my msn

    IF you want text to appear within a div, but only on a link click. Then you need a Javascript toggler.
    http://www.dustindiaz.com/seven-togglers/

    The idea is that initially the div is "diplay:none;" then when you click your link/button/whatever this will invoke a call to a Java script function that toggles the display method to "display:block;" or something like that.
    You can not say you know how to do something, until you can teach it to someone else.
