  • Need help to position this code

    Hello,

i need some help with the code below , when putting it on a page , it is positioned at left:0px;top:470px , what i want to do is to make it positoned at the place i put the code itself and not at left0px and top:470 . i have tried much to do it but in vain . . when i remove left:0px;top:470px from the code , it gets messed up.

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.site.com"><b style="position:absolute; left:0px;top:470px;height:110px;width:200px;border:solid 3px red;color:blue;font-weight:bold;cursor:hand;font-size:14px;background-color:white;" <a href="http://www.site.com/"><i style="background:url('http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k139/hi5love/hi5vip-nov.gif') no-repeat;left:0px;top: 40px;position:absolute;width:238px;height:70px;"></i><a href="http://site.com.com"><b style="position:absolute; top:15px;left:24px;font-size:16px;color:white;background-color:blue;">

    it all seems very messy..

why don't you try putting it in a <div> and positioning the div>

    eg:

    <div style='position: absolute; etc'><a href="">AAA</a></div>

or even better, use a stylesheet

What exactly are you trying to achieve? That's a lot of code mixing up CSS and html which cannot be salvaged, I'm afraid. I suggest you read some more about CSS, positioning and stylesheets.

        Remove the position:absolute's.
