  • background image position

    ok, i have to following css...

    Code:
    background:#0C74BE url('../images/global/content_bg.gif') repeat-y;
    	background-position:7px 6px;
    to try and mimic 2 divs of equal height...i slight problem...

    the bg position starts at 7px from left...but is ignoring the 6px from top...

    also, how do i make the background image stop at 6px from the bottom?

    Thanks, Justin

    Got a link? There is no way to make it start from x left value AND y bottom value because background-position is either
    top left
    top right
    top center
    bottom left
    bottom center
    bottom right
    Xpx Ypx (starting from the top for Y and from the left for X)

      ok, so no bottom attribute...

      but it still wont start 6px from top...

      is there another way to make it look like i have identical width columns??

      or should i just use a table (would prefer not to use table if possible..but will if i must)

      oh, and sorry, no link

      Thanks, Justin

        I'm assuming you mean identical height columns. http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/

        Help us help you. Without a link its hard to understand what you want to do. For all we know you are going about the totally wrong way of doing things. Put your site on a free web host. Its not that hard.
