  • Missing Area

Hi everybody, this is my first post here but I didnt see a welcome section so I wont introduce myself I've just been messing about with coding CSS and I've hit a block with my layout.

    http://testsite.amplems.com/

I think you can see what my problem is but to clarify. The footer is floating somewhere which it shouldn't be and the nav menu on the left is not repeating down to the top of the footer (it is not an image, should it be?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I don't know enough to debug, but...

I'm a relative newbie as well, but one thing I'd recommend is to download the Web Developer extension for Firefox (along with IE Tab, Html Validator and Firebug). If you use the 'Edit CSS' option, you can see, in real time, the effects of edits to the CSS. In combination with the 'View Styles information, which identifies each element on a page when you place your cursor over it, it's then a lot easier to see which bit of CSS is responsible for which bit of styling.
If anyone asks my boss, this counts as work, okay?
