  • Problems with e-mailing form results...

Hi. I'm trying to generate a form, and I want the results to be e-mailed to me. I'm using the code ' <form action="mailto:myemail subject="form submission" method="post" enctype="text/plain"> ' at the top of my form...

The problem I'm having is when I hit the submit button, Explorer gives me some warning message about how 'your e-mail will be visible, and this will be sent without encrypting, blah blah blah...'. Then it opens my e-mail program and sets up a message to the e-mail I put in the 'mailto' section, but it has no body. I'm confused. I just want the answers of the form to be sent to my e-mail witha simple click of the submit button. Please help .
    Thanks, Branden

Firstly that code is wrong, the mailto to add a subject and body would be something like this:

    "mailto:[email protected]&subject=yoursubject&body=yourmessage"

In order to send a form the best method is to use a server side language such as PHP; it's far easier and much less messy (mailto is reliant on email clients being available etc).
