Ok...I design graphics...I know the basics of coding nothing spectacular. I can do what frontpage and dreamweaver let me do. So here ya go heres my site review away

maybe you are a great graphics designer, but if you want people to know it you need to learn web design or hire someone who will do it for you. I, for one could not get past the splash page (top ten web design mistake) and I can assure you no SE bot will be able to either....

I now have a text link as well as the auto pop up. But please do not misquote me I am in no way a great graphics designer...I'm still learning, and making a bit of money in the process.

And still as most graphic designers you are making a mistake by thinking that user's desktop belongs to you. It does not. You site is a guest in user browser window. Trying to change it's size, open a new one or mess with the user interface in any way is an obnoxious behaviour akin to me coming to your house and starting knocking the walls down just because I think that I would look better that way.

Also, your menu leaves a lot to be desired.
You have used an anti-aliased font at a size which is far smaller than it can handle. If you must use graphics as text (which is an even bigger no-no than auto-pop-ups), then use a pixel font and turn off anti-aliasing.

You also don't have any kind of hover effect going.....

Well, your "graphic design" is definitely not suitable for the web. From what you've shown in your site, you're not a "graphic designer" - maybe a pseudo graphic artist.

Alright, that probably sounded mean, and I apologize, but I don't intend to hurt you by it. I won't judge your skill completely upon the site. BUT, none the less, you need to show some of that raw graphical power in the site itself. The colors aren't bad. The large silhouette needs something more. The definition of the body's structure needs to be a bit more detailed and a bit more easily noticable. Otherwise the silhouette is a good idea in general. Also, I'm not sure about the empty space floating around the navigation and such. It leaves the site feeling bare overall. Somewhat... cold. Maybe some of that space could be a chance to prove your skill in the graphical arts. I notice the shapes your going with for the layout and maybe you could incorporate similar angles, etc. into some pattern, or structure to compliment to the top banner.

I hate to be mean, but I just can't quite bare to see the term "graphic designer" be thrown around. Whip up something worthy of the title - know what I mean? I looked in your portfolio and took a peek at the Ford picture. I have a question. Did you completely make the design in the background? Be honest. If you did then you need to bring that skill to the site. If not, then I hold to what I've said.

Just remember, practice practice practice! It's the best thing you can do to help yourself improve, no matter how good you are.
