Skype for web question

Does anyone know if there is a way to integrate skype into your website? Meaning members of the website could login and chat on skype on my website? I'd like the video to actually be on my website in like a pop up box.

Well that sucks, thanks for the information, they could make alot more money by doing this.

Do you know of any other type program that can do this? I'd like users with webcams to be able to interact while playing the game.

Have you tried contacting skype to see if they could do something like that? I know you can put an icon with your skype username on your website so people can contact you that way if they want. Maybe they just haven't had a request for it yet, or it could be that MS has added that option.

Do you even have a skype account? Or were you just waiting to see if you were able to do what you want to with it? Once you set up an account, there is a contact tab to be able to email them and ask. They are good about answering.

Okay I got in, but all I could find is the forums, there is dozens of posts and no replies on any of them. Looks like almost every post never gets an answer. Is there another way of contacting them?

Yes. Once you are logged in, and go to the support tab, go to the bottom of that page and click on the get more help link. It will let you ask a question and give answers, and if you don't find your answer, which you probably won't, then it will give you the support email.

But it'd have to be integrated into my existing chat, and instead of one on one. It'd be like 6 - 8 people on at a time, and you can see everyone on little like 150px X 150px screens.

If I'm not mistaken then it's not possible to integrate it the way you want. You require API for doing so which skype doesn't share

I did some quick research and could not find information on using Skype on your website. It would be an awesome feature if it could be done.

Well, considering who owns Skype now, you can be sure that is a feature that will never be developed. We'll be lucky if Skype keeps working reasonably well in the future.
